What are some data sources might one might want to integrate into AR glasses?

What are some apps or data sources that might one integrate into 21st century augmented reality glasses?

Well there are a lot of apps that are currently in development but just to throw some ideas out there I personally like to see these apps to be integrated into augmented reality (AR) glasses. These database would be in the field of business, art, history, and social communication.

In field of business and entertainment:

Company stock viewer:

• Display name of the company

• Net cost of the company

• Price of the stock shares and # of shares total

• Graph of current stock fluctuation

• Last time company have bought back its shares to reduce the number of total shares

Garage sale viewer:

• Seller’s name and rating<?>

• Display time and location

• Compass displaying direction to the location based on user’s position

• Brief description of the items posted by the seller.

City activates and event viewer:

• Name of Activity and Company name

• Time and date activity is held

• Phone number for the activity

• Cost of the activity

• Registering for activity and availability time

• Brief description of the activity

Merchandise sale viewer:

• Display name of the company

• List of sales that are currently happening

• Location and compass pointing to the store when pressed by the user

In field of social gathering:

Social gathering application

• Display the name or group currently posted

• Shows the general distance and time of meeting if scheduled

• Request the meet up

• Perhaps a link to the facebook site

• But all these information must be requested by the user

In field of utilities:

• Weather listing showing current weather and projected weather along with time

Some ACTUAL AR app that are interesting or useful:

Apps such as StarView and StarTracker does a wonderful job integrating mobile devices with augmented reality. Using the GPS location and the accelerometer embedded in the mobile devices, these apps make the navigation simple and intuitive, making it fun and easy to find various stars and constellations.
